Floyd Joy Mayweather, Jr. (born Floyd Sinclair on February 24, 1977), is an American professional boxer. He is a five division boxer, where he won nine world class championships.  He is undefeated as a professional boxer, with 41 wins including 25 by way of knockout. Mayweather is currently rated by the ring as the number two pound for pound boxer in the world. Mayweather was born in Grand Rapids, MI with his mother's last name. His last name would change to Mayweather shortly thereafter. His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr, is a former welterweight contender, while two of his uncles, Jeff Mayweather and Roger Mayweather, won championship titles. In 2002, Mayweather moved up to the lightweight (135 lb) division. Mayweather fought only four bouts at this weight, but they were all world championship fights. Mayweather won two bouts for the WBC and The Ring lightweight belts.

Mike Tysons birthday was born in June 30, 1966 and is an American Boxer. He holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA, And IBF  world heavyweight titles. He won the WBC title when he was 20 years, 4 months and 22 days old, after defeating  Trevor Berbick by a TKO in the second round. Throughout his career, Tyson became well-known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behavior both inside and outside the ring. Tyson was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has a brother, Rodney, who is five years older than he. His sister, Denise, died of a heart attack at age 25 in 1991. Tyson's father, Jimmy Kirkpatrick, abandoned his family when Tyson was 2, leaving his mother, Lorna Smith Tyson, to care for them on her own. Mike Tyson also was not always in his right of mind, like when he bit off Evander's ear.

Boxing Facts

Did you know in boxing your not allowed to punch below the waist or you charged losing a point? In Ancient Rome the fighters were usually prisoners trying to win their freedom back while fighting with NOTHING but gloves. Matches usually ended in death.  In amatuer boxing you must wear everythign a pro boxer wears but with a tanktop and headgear.  Boxers cant wrestle, spit, trip, or push. You cant headbutt, kick, etc. You also cant grab the ropes for support when you throw a punch. When a boxer is knocked down the other boxer must immediately cease fighting. Boxing is a dangerous sport. More dangerous then UFC fighting because the boxers take so many hits to the head and UFC can wrestle, submit, kick, and etc. Some permanent effects are the parkinsons disease, where you have uncontrollable shaking.
